There are many foods you should avoid during pregnancy as these pose a risk of harm to your unborn baby or food poisoning.


Undercooked meat: Some dishes include semi-cooked meat, especially in fine foods. It should be avoided during pregnancy. All meat should be cooked until there is no trace of blood or pink. This also applies to sausages and your favorite roast meat. Undercooked meat contains parasites that can cause infection.

Cheese: It contains bacteria that can cause infection. Some cheese also contains raw milk which is not advised during pregnancy.


Raw/undercooked eggs: Avoid them at all costs, as well as products that contain home-made mayonnaise. Eggs should be cooked solid.


Caffeine: You don’t have to cut it out completely, but you should limit your intake. High caffeine levels can occur in children with low birth weight. Excess caffeine can also cause miscarriage. Caffeine is found in most drinks.


Alcohol: Alcohol is bad for you whether you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Excessive exposure to alcohol adversely affects the child. How about alcohol? 


Most experts say that an occasional glass of wine will cause no harm. You can also go for non-alcoholic wines. There is no cost too high to pay for your child; is?
