How to choose the right foundation for your skin type?
1) Obtaining shadow rights: –
The best place to test the right shade for your skin is to apply it on your neck or line. When choosing a foundation, always remember that it should look flawless on your skin, without looking like a ghost or like you’ve got gray paint. The right foundation should not change the color of your skin, rather it should merge and smooth, even radiate your skin. Any other effect, such as you look lighter or darker, means that it is the wrong shade.
2) Detection of your identity: –
Your undertaking is a major deciding factor in choosing the right foundation. Closely view areas that have not been exposed to the sun. If you see a hint of yellow or gold and your skin becomes darker, but does not burn easily in the sun, then you belong to a warm undertone. If you can see pink tones, and you get sunburn easily, then you have a cool undertone. If you have a combination of pink and yellow tones, the skin that sometimes burns and has neutral undertones also becomes darker.
3) Choice of right finish: –
It addresses the specific needs of your skin. If you have oily skin, oil-free powder or mousse foundation is needed for this. It works towards absorbing excess oil from your skin to give a wonderfully smooth and matte look. Dry skin requires a hydrating foundation. It provides a creamy texture that delivers consistent moisture while offering the required coverage. Combination skin requires an oil-rich foundation. It works well towards hydrating and absorbing all the oil at the same time.
4) To follow a swastika test: –
Perform a swatch test by placing a shed around the line and let it rest for a minute before analyzing. Do not test in-store lighting. Get out in the sun and see for yourself.
